Record chemical applications, track what was applied where and when, and maintain detailed application history for compliance and planning.
Overview
The Chemical Applications system allows you to record every chemical application, link it to products from your catalog, associate it with customer properties, and maintain a complete application history.
Getting Started
Before recording applications, ensure you have:
- Products set up in Chemical Catalog (see Chemical Catalog)
- Customers and properties created (see Customer Management)
- Understanding of what information you need to track
Recording Applications
Step-by-Step: Record a New Application
- Navigate to Chemical Applications in the sidebar

- Click "New Application" or the plus icon

- Select property:

- Customer: Choose customer
- Property: Select property where application occurred
- Enter application details:

- Application Date: Date application was performed
- Product: Select product from catalog
- Application Rate: Rate applied (per 1,000 sq ft, per acre, etc.)
- Area Treated: Total area treated
- Weather Conditions: Temperature, wind, etc. (optional)
- Add application notes:

- Notes: Any special notes about the application
- Conditions: Weather or other conditions
- Results: Expected or observed results
- Click "Save Application"

Application Information Fields
- Customer & Property: Where application occurred
- Application Date: When application was performed
- Product: Product used (from catalog)
- Application Rate: How much was applied
- Area Treated: Size of treated area
- Weather Conditions: Temperature, wind speed, etc.
- Notes: Additional information
- Applied By: Who performed the application
Linking to Products
Applications are linked to products from your Chemical Catalog.
Selecting Products
- When recording application

- Click "Product" dropdown

- Search or select from catalog

- Product details populate:

- Product name
- Manufacturer
- EPA number
- Default application rate
- Adjust application rate as needed

Application History
View complete application history for properties.
Viewing History
- Go to customer property detail page

- Navigate to "Application History" tab

- View all applications for this property:

- Application date
- Product used
- Application rate
- Area treated
- Applied by
Filtering History
Filter application history by:
- Date range
- Product type
- Product name
- Applied by
Linking to Programs
Applications can be linked to Multi-Step Programs.
Program Applications
- When application is part of a program

- Link to program step

- Application is recorded

- Program progress updates

- Application appears in program history

Common Tasks
Editing Applications
- Open application detail page

- Click "Edit" button

- Update any fields

- Click "Save"

- Note: Only OWNER and EMPLOYEE can typically edit

Viewing Application Details
- Go to Chemical Applications list

- Click on application

- View complete details:

- Property information
- Product details
- Application specifics
- Weather conditions
- Notes
Searching Applications
- Go to Chemical Applications page

- Use search bar

- Search by:

- Customer name
- Property address
- Product name
- Date
- Results filter in real-time

Filtering Applications
Filter by:
- Date range
- Customer
- Property
- Product
- Product type
Exporting Applications
- Go to Chemical Applications page

- Apply filters if needed

- Click "Export" button

- Choose format (CSV, Excel)

- File downloads with application data

Generate reports on applications.

Troubleshooting
Can't record application
- Check products: Ensure products exist in catalog
- Verify property: Ensure customer and property exist
- Check permissions: Only OWNER, EMPLOYEE, and TEAM_LEADER can record
- Review fields: Ensure all required fields are filled
Product not appearing
- Check catalog: Verify product exists and is active
- Refresh page: Try refreshing the page
- Verify filters: Check if filters are hiding product
- Check status: Ensure product is not archived
Application history not showing
- Check property: Ensure viewing correct property
- Verify date range: Check if date filters are applied
- Refresh page: Try refreshing
- Check permissions: Verify your role has access
Can't edit application
- Check permissions: Only OWNER and EMPLOYEE can typically edit
- Verify application: Ensure application exists
- Review status: Some applications may be locked
- Contact admin: May need permission adjustment
Export not working
- Check browser: Try different browser
- Allow downloads: Ensure browser allows downloads
- Check file size: Large exports may take time
- Try different format: Try CSV instead of Excel
